Furniture Fair, the Tri-State’s premier retailer of furniture and home furnishings, has had one goal since founder Bob Daniels opened their first store in 1963: to provide quality furniture at fair prices with exemplary service. The dedicated staff of this family-owned furniture empire is always searching out new home furnishing products that reflect Furniture Fair’s values. Furniture Fair is proud to present Laurel Mercantile Co., a unique and exciting new furniture line from Ben and Erin Napier, hosts of HGTV’s immensely popular Home Town. As Home Town gears up for its third season, Laurel Mercantile Co. is premiering their new collection of solid wood and veneer furniture.
There were a number of singular elements about Laurel Mercantile Co. that attracted Furniture Fair. First and foremost was Laurel Mercantile Co. owners Ben and Erin Napier’s commitment to American made furniture. Based in Laurel, Mississippi, Ben and Erin Napier’s flagship brand Scotsman Co. began as a revitalization effort of small town America. And while they had offers to grow their business with foreign investment, the couple opted to partner with Virginia-based Vaughn-Bassett Furniture Company instead to create Laurel Mercantile Co.
“Since the launch of our TV show, we have been approached by several companies wanting to develop furniture collections for them,” said Ben Napier. “We were determined, however, to work with a manufacturer in the United States and not with an importer.” Known for their beautifully crafted wood bedroom pieces that utilize rich pine, maple, oak, cherry and poplar in their exquisite designs, Vaughn-Bassett was the perfect match for Laurel Mercantile Co. Says Napier, “We know Vaughan-Bassett is committed to their hometown of Galax, Virginia, and to the people there, and we are excited that our designs will be lovingly made with American craftsmanship, American quality and by the largest manufacturer of wooden residential furniture in the United States,” he added.
This passion to craft furniture to the highest standards in small town America is the exact kind of product Furniture Fair wants to showcase. In the same way Ben and Erin Napier have grown their businesses while giving back to their community, Furniture Fair has been committed to serving the Tri-State community for over 50 years. Furniture Fair is proudly involved in a number of charitable organizations dedicated to making a difference in their local communities. Purchasing goods from Furniture Fair means helping Furniture Fair’s non-profit partners feed families in need, provide furniture for the disadvantaged, assist our Veterans, and continue funding valuable cancer research and the on-going battle to cure Cystic Fibrosis.
Above all, Furniture Fair is proud to showcase Laurel Mercantile Co. because they are positive their customers will love the collection’s finely made bedroom and dining pieces. Customer care and satisfaction has remained at the core of Furniture Fair’s mission. “Stability, consistency and knowledge are the keys to longevity. Many fine furniture stores have come and gone since 1963, but we’re still here because of our people and how they care for the customer,” says Furniture Fair founder Bob Daniel’s son, CEO Rick Daniels, adding, “The best ad in the world is a happy customer.”
Customers in the Tri-State area are encouraged to check out the new collection by Laurel Mercantile Co. presented by Vaughn-Bassett at select Furniture Fair locations. Go to www.furniturefair.net for more info. Season three of Ben and Erin Napier’s show Home Town is now showing on HGTV.
