As back-to-school rolls around, many parents, foster parents and guardians are busy preparing their children for the upcoming school year. New backpacks, spiral notebooks, binders, erasers, rulers, and more are all part of making a child’s education easier.
Young people are the future and a child’s education should not be limited or hindered due to a lack of school supplies. Sometimes all it takes to impact a child’s future for the better is a backpack filled with the supplies needed for a better school experience.
WLWT has partnered with Volunteers of America this summer for "Operation Backpack." The goal of the partnership is to make sure as many students as possible can start their school year off right with the necessary school supplies.
Many children and teens will return to school each year without the basic supplies needed for the year. You can help a student start their school year right by donating backpacks and school supplies now through August 8 at a Furniture Fair location near you.
