Recapping The 14th Annual Furniture Fair LLS Charity Golf Outing!

From the very beginning, Furniture Fair has always been focused on giving back to the local community. Our community is the heart and soul of our business and we want to ensure that we support our community where we can.

The Fourteenth Annual LLS Charity Golf Outing is part of Furniture Fair's commitment to giving back to the community and supporting a worthy cause. Furntiure Fair is not alone in this endeavor though, thanks to our friends within and outside the Cincinnati area.

Individuals from local businesses, news channels, restaurants, and furniture industries gathered at Shaker Run Golf Course this year to help raise money for a good cause and a great time at the golf course.

fourteen years ago, Furniture Fair made the choice to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to find cures by funding blood cancer research and patient access.

Furniture Fair's former spokesperson Ed Hartman was affected personally by the disease when his granddaughter, Karmen, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Thanks to research from places like LLS and a strong fighting spirit, today Karmen is a Leukemia survivor! 

This year, through participation in The Furniture Fair LLS Charity Golf Outing, the employees, partners, and customers of Furniture Fair have contributed over $95,000 for a fourteen-year total of $1.5 Million to fund research and patient access through LLS.

Our goal is to get over the $2 million mark!

LLS's continued advancements over the years are responsible for blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers.They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers.

LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Furniture Fair would like to thank all of the individuals who contributed to this year’s outing, especially our volunteers! We are excited that the funds raised are going to such an important cause.
