Furniture Fair Joins Forces with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to Support Children Battling Blood Cancer

Furniture Fair is excited to announce its partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in a collective effort to aid children fighting blood cancer. Through LLS's remarkable initiative, The Dare to Dream Project, groundbreaking advancements in pediatric blood cancer treatment and compassionate support for affected families are at the forefront.

Furniture Fair is devoted to raising funds that will directly contribute to The Dare to Dream Project, enabling LLS to fulfill its mission of ensuring children receive the life-saving treatments they need to thrive.

In honor of LLS's annual Month of Giving, Furniture Fair pledges to donate a portion of the proceeds up to $10,000 from every mattress sale in June to The Dare to Dream Project. Each generous donation and sale will support cutting-edge research, ultimately improving the lives of children and families impacted by blood cancer.

As long-time supporters of LLS, Furniture Fair holds a deeply personal connection to this cause. Our involvement dates back to former spokesperson Ed Hartman's granddaughter, which drives our unwavering commitment to supporting this latest endeavor that directly benefits the youngest cancer patients in our community.

The Dare to Dream Project, spearheaded by LLS, addresses the pressing need for safer and less toxic treatments, as well as access to free support and resources for pediatric blood cancer patients and their families. Children deserve treatments tailored to their unique needs, yet only a mere 5% of cancer drugs are approved for initial use in pediatric cases, resulting in 80% of childhood cancer survivors developing chronic health issues from treatment.

"LLS is incredibly grateful to partner once again with Furniture Fair," said Tom Carleton, Executive Director of the Ohio River Valley Region of LLS. "Together, through The Dare to Dream Project, we have accomplished remarkable feats, but much more work lies ahead to support all children and families affected by blood cancer. Furniture Fair's generous support will drive us closer to reaching our goals."

Furniture Fair draws immense inspiration from LLS's vision of providing treatment to as many children as possible in their battle against cancer and commends the organization for its groundbreaking endeavors. In the 15 years of being a partner with LLS, Furniture Fair has helped raise over 1.5 million for LLS in the fight to end blood cancers

LLS is at the forefront of pediatric blood cancer research, funding initiatives such as the pioneering pediatric AML Data Commons, a global data reporting platform ensuring consistency, and launching the first-ever acute leukemia LLS PedAL Master Clinical Trial, which tailors treatment based on each patient's unique tumor biology. Through our partnership and unwavering support of The Dare to Dream Project, Furniture Fair remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all children affected by blood cancer.
