Where to Shop Furniture and Mattresses Near Colerain
“Where am I supposed to shop for furniture now?” That is the exact question Colerain customers have been asking us on Facebook and in messages ever since Furniture Fair announced that we lost our lease at 8760 Colerain Ave. If our Northgate store has been your neighborhood stop for living room seating, solid wood dining, or a new mattress, here is what you need to know about where to find your nearest showroom, how existing orders and customer pickups are handled, and how Furniture Fair continues to serve Colerain families.
Both locations are full-service Furniture Fair showrooms with dedicated Sleep Centers and complimentary in-store interior design support. Western Hills is a smaller neighborhood store featuring most of our popular living room, dining, and bedroom favorites, while Fairfield carries our expansive full-line lineup and clearance outlet. The first thing customers ask me when they walk into Colerain is where they are supposed to go next, and whether our team is still around. I tell them straight out: Furniture Fair is not leaving northwest Cincinnati. If you are on the south or west side of Colerain, head over to Western Hills on Harrison Ave. Dave Grzebyk manages that store, and he and his team will take great care of you with our core favorites and a full Sleep Center. If you want our full-line selection or you loved shopping our clearance outlet, make the quick trip to Fairfield. Caroline Rhinehart manages that showroom, and they have an active outlet floor attached directly to our central warehouse. I have spent over 40 years in this business, and while leaving this building is tough, our people are not going anywhere. Why Is the Northgate Furniture Fair Closing?
The short version: we lost our lease at 8760 Colerain Ave, and we were not able to extend it. That is the whole story.
Since it is the first thing people ask: no, Furniture Fair is not going out of business. We are still family-owned, still based in Greater Cincinnati, and still the same company that has been doing this since 1963. Your orders, warranties, and protection plans do not live in that building, so they are not going anywhere either.
Single Location Closure, Not a Company Shutdown
Furniture Fair operates 12 locations across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, backed by our central distribution center in Fairfield and hundreds of dedicated local team members. While this specific building is closing, our presence in northwest Cincinnati continues at our nearby Western Hills and Fairfield showrooms.
The Northgate showroom is currently conducting an official store closing sale at 8760 Colerain Ave while remaining floor inventory and warehouse merchandise are liquidated. The sale will continue into early January 2027 while selection lasts.
Where Do Northgate Customer Pickups and Special Orders Go?
If you purchased furniture at Northgate for customer pickup, your pickup location transfers directly to our Fairfield Central Distribution Center (7200 Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, OH 45014) once the Northgate building closes. Fairfield's customer pickup dock is located just minutes north on Route 4 / Dixie Hwy and operates Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Special orders continue through normal manufacturer production schedules, with delivery directly to your home or available at the Fairfield warehouse dock. Current Store Closing Sale at 8760 Colerain Ave (Into Early January 2027)
Before our doors close permanently, our Northgate location is holding a total store closing sale with floor-sample markdowns up to 70% off across living room sets, dining tables, bedroom suites, recliners, mattresses, and rugs. All closing-event pricing is strictly in-store only while inventory lasts into early January 2027.
Which Location Should Former Colerain Customers Visit?
Choosing between Western Hills and Fairfield depends on where you live in the Colerain area and what type of shopping you want to do:
1. Choose Western Hills on Harrison Ave If:
You live in southern or central Colerain Township, Groesbeck, Green Township, Dent, Cheviot, Bridgetown, Monfort Heights, White Oak, or western Cincinnati. Western Hills is easily reached by heading south on Colerain Ave toward North Bend Rd, or via I-74 to Harrison Ave. Western Hills is a smaller neighborhood showroom than Colerain or Fairfield, so while it does not display every piece in our catalog, it carries most customer favorites across living room, dining, and bedroom, plus a complete Sleep Center led by veteran Store Manager Dave Grzebyk.
2. Choose Fairfield on Dixie Hwy If:
You live in northern Colerain Township, Forest Park, Springdale, Fairfield, Hamilton, or Butler County, or you want to see our full lineup. Fairfield is easily reached by taking I-275 East to Route 4 / Dixie Hwy. As our largest flagship showroom in the area, led by Store Manager Caroline Rhinehart, Fairfield displays our complete furniture and mattress collection. In addition, Fairfield features an active Furniture Fair Clearance Outlet.
