For more than six decades, Furniture Fair has believed that helping families create a home is about more than selling furniture. It is about trust. It is about care. It is about showing up for people during the everyday moments that shape a life. From first apartments to growing families to fresh starts, we have built our business around serving homes with honesty, heart, and personal service.

In the mid-1990s, we met a little girl battling leukemia. Her family was carrying more than anyone should have to carry, and we wanted to do something that might brighten even one moment. So we gave her a teddy bear.
It was a small gesture. But the smile it created stayed with us.
That moment became the beginning of something far bigger than a single gift. It shaped the spirit of Share Bear and helped define what giving back would mean at Furniture Fair. What started with one child became a lasting commitment to children, families, and communities throughout our region.
Today, Share Bear appears at local events, sporting venues, and the Cincinnati Zoo, helping raise awareness and funds for causes that matter. Proceeds from bear sales support organizations including Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), Cincinnati Children's, Ardi's Bears, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Many bears never make it to the showroom floor at all. They go directly to children in local hospitals who need something comforting to hold during uncertain moments.
Through our We Care initiatives, your support has helped us give back more than $2 million to organizations fighting cancer, feeding families, advancing cystic fibrosis research, and opening doors for underserved youth. We do it because this region has given so much to us. Giving back is not a campaign. It is part of who we are.

Our team at Light the Night, supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure blood cancers.
We believe the final step of your experience should feel just as personal as the first. That is why we have never outsourced our delivery. Our team represents our family in your home, and that responsibility matters to us.
Creating a home should not feel overwhelming or out of reach. We offer free design help because every family deserves thoughtful guidance from people who listen, care, and know how to bring a room together.
When national chains and big-box competitors expanded, we made a different choice. We stayed independent. We stayed local. We stayed focused on personal service. Three generations later, that decision still shapes the way we do business.
We have seen what happens when someone finally gets the right mattress. Better sleep affects everything from energy to health to how people show up for their families. That is why we invested in bedMATCH technology to help remove the guesswork and guide people toward a better night's rest.
That was Bob Daniels' philosophy when he opened our doors in 1963, and it still guides everything we do today. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you're buying, from the materials used to the craftsmanship behind it. That's why we rate every piece of furniture and every mattress in our collection using a simple Good, Better, Best system. No guessing, no surprises, just honest guidance to help you find the right fit for your home and your budget.
Budget-friendly options with essential quality and practical durability for everyday living.
A strong middle ground with improved materials, better construction, and enhanced longevity.
Premium investment pieces with superior materials, advanced features, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Furniture Fair did not grow through a distant corporate rollout. We grew because families kept inviting us into their lives and communities kept asking us to come closer. Each new location has been a response to trust earned over time.
1963
The Beginning — Bob and Kate Daniels opened the first Furniture Fair in Erlanger, Kentucky, with a simple belief: families deserved better than pushy salespeople, confusing pricing, and impersonal service. Their promise was simple too: treat every customer like a neighbor.
1972
Fairfield, Ohio — As more families found us, we crossed the river into Ohio and built our first warehouse so we could keep delivery promises close to home.
1976 – 2007
Roots Deepen — Locations in Colerain, Florence, Eastgate, Fields Ertel, Cold Spring, and Western Hills followed as more communities came to trust the way we do business.
2004
The 200,000 Square Foot Decision — We could have outsourced. Instead, we expanded our own distribution center because controlling the final mile means protecting the final impression.
2015
Miamisburg — Families in the Dayton area were making the drive to shop with us, so we decided to meet them closer to home.
2018
Louisville — We kept hearing the same question from Louisville shoppers: when are you coming our way? Jeffersontown became our answer.
2019
Beavercreek — Our second Dayton-area location grew from the relationships first built in Miamisburg.
2023
Clarksville — Our first Indiana location marked a new chapter, but the approach stayed the same: one community at a time, one relationship at a time.
2024
Greenwood — Entering the Indianapolis market was not about chasing a pin on a map. It was about earning our place the same way we always have, by showing up and serving families well.
1963
In-House Delivery — From the beginning, we believed the delivery experience should reflect the same care customers receive in our stores. That belief still guides us today.
1997
Customer Care Center — As automated phone systems became the norm, we invested in real people who could answer questions and solve problems with empathy.
2004
Sleep Center Specialists — Mattress shopping can be confusing. We created dedicated Sleep Centers with trained specialists to guide customers with clarity and confidence.
2015
Design Center — A beautiful home should not require hiring an expensive designer. We created in-store design support to make expert help more accessible.
2017
bedMATCH Diagnostic System — Choosing a mattress should not feel like guesswork. bedMATCH helps match body type and sleep position to the right support.
2020
Learning Center — We launched a comprehensive online resource center with articles and videos answering our customers' most common questions, because an informed customer makes better decisions for their home.
2024
In-Home Design Services — Sometimes the hardest part of furnishing a room is imagining what is possible. Our in-home designers help families see their space in a new way, at no cost.
2025
Over $2 Million Given to Blood Cancer United — Through Share Bear and community fundraising, we surpassed $2 million donated to Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). That milestone reflects something bigger than a number. It reflects a promise to stand with families facing difficult moments.
Bob and Kate Daniels built the foundation. Steve and Rick Daniels helped guide Furniture Fair through decades of growth and service before stepping into retirement. Today, Bill Daniels continues to help shape the vision alongside the next generation of family leadership.
Furniture Fair remains a true family endeavor, with leaders across departments carrying forward the same values that built the company: care for people, pride in the work, and commitment to the communities we serve.
