Learn how to unhook the transformer from the LAF post, link modular sectional consoles with heavy-duty metal buckles, and run internal audio wiring.
Moto Motion furniture contains heavy steel recline mechanisms and internal electronics. Always work with two adults. Flip the carton, slice the bottom tape, remove loose padding, then turn the carton upright and lift the box straight up over the furniture.
Slide the metal brackets on the backrest onto the base rails. Press down firmly on the top of the backrest until you hear a sharp, audible clicking sound on both the left and right rails. Pull upward gently to verify both sides are completely locked into place.
Before closing the rear fabric flap, connect the wiring harnesses between the backrest and the seat frame. Match the connector plugs one-to-one by color and molded notch shape. Each plug clicks securely to prevent vibrations from loosening connections over time.
On modular sectionals and standalone pieces, the master power transformer is factory-secured to the Left-Arm-Facing (LAF) mechanism post underneath the seat base. Cut the zip tie, remove the power supply brick, and set it aside before connecting your power cord.
To connect adjacent modular seats or console pieces, align the downward-facing male brackets with the upward-facing female receivers on the adjacent module's steel base. Lower the right unit into the left unit until the teeth lock firmly to prevent separation during recline.
If your model features decorative side wings, align the slide clips on the outer back cushion and slide downward until seated flush. Once all backrests and harnesses are fastened, plug the main transformer into a grounded 110V wall outlet or surge protector.
Connect your smart television, streaming player, gaming system, or mobile device directly to the Moto Motion integrated media amplifier and tactile bass transducers.
Wireless Bluetooth connections take automatic precedence over hardwired inputs (SPDIF Optical, 3.5mm AUX, and RCA). Once your Moto Motion product connects to a wireless device, it automatically mutes hardwired TV inputs. If you are using an optical or AUX cable to your television and hear no sound, disconnect or turn off Bluetooth on all nearby phones, tablets, or televisions so the amplifier can release priority back to the wired port.
The media amplifier location depends on your furniture configuration. Locate your piece below to find the master control box and port array:
On sofas and 3-seat configurations, the amplifier is mounted behind the center seat. Lower the drop-down center back table or lift the rear bottom fabric flap to access ports, mode switches, and pairing controls.
On console loveseats and modular theater rows, the amplifier is housed inside the center console. Unzip the durable zippered access flap located on the underside bottom of the console cabinet to reach all audio connections.
On standalone power recliners, the amplifier is installed inside either the left or right arm compartment. Reach underneath the chair frame and unzip the bottom fabric panel to access the amplifier and wiring harness.
Select the audio input that matches your home theater equipment for optimal dialogue clarity and synchronized bass response:
Switch the amplifier to AUX mode. Press and hold the pairing button until the LED flashes rapidly. On your TV, phone, or tablet, select Moto Media System. A chime confirms connection.
Switch amplifier to SPDIF mode. Connect an optical audio cable from your TV's Optical Audio Out to the amplifier's SPDIF in. In TV audio settings, set digital output format to PCM / Stereo.
Switch the amplifier to AUX mode. Plug a standard 3.5mm stereo cable into the AUX input port on the amplifier, then connect the opposite end into your media player or television headphone output.
Switch amplifier to AUX mode. Connect red and white RCA plugs to your receiver or TV audio out, then connect the 3.5mm end into the amplifier AUX input port for clean analog signal feed.
MotoSync wirelessly distributes TV movie audio, game sound effects, and bass rumble signals across multiple Moto Motion seating units throughout your room without running cables across your floor.
Connect your primary Moto Motion sofa or sectional piece directly to your audio source using SPDIF Optical or Bluetooth. Verify stereo sound plays clearly from the main speakers.
On the primary amplifier control panel, double-tap the pairing button. The system voice prompt will announce: "Broadcast On" and the indicator LED will confirm transmission mode.
Turn on the power for each secondary recliner or console in the room. Double-tap the pairing button on each unit. They automatically lock onto the primary broadcast signal within five seconds.
To stop broadcasting or isolate a specific seat, double-tap the pairing button once again. The system will announce "Broadcast Off", returning that piece to independent audio operation.
MotoSync uses ultra-low latency RF transmission. Movie dialogue and tactile transducer vibrations synchronize seamlessly across all seats with no echo or lip-sync delay.
Find fast solutions for TV audio priority, power indicator checks, hard resets, motor recalibration, and Bluetooth pairing.
The single most common cause is active Bluetooth Priority. Moto Motion amplifiers are engineered so that any active wireless Bluetooth connection automatically overrides hardwired inputs (SPDIF Optical, 3.5mm AUX, and RCA).
If a nearby smartphone, tablet, or TV is actively paired to "Moto Media System", the amplifier mutes the wired audio feed. To resolve this:
Always start by locating the black external power transformer brick resting beneath or behind the piece:
If your Bluetooth audio freezes, amplifier controls become unresponsive, or power recline motors halt mid-cycle, a clean hard reset clears memory across all control boards:
Moto Motion power mechanisms use digital stroke sensors to monitor limits. If motors become unsynchronized or pause before fully closing:
If your device cannot find "Moto Media System" or repeatedly fails to connect:
Yes. Compatible Moto Motion pieces feature MotoSync wireless audio technology.
Simply connect your main sofa or sectional to your TV, then double-tap the pairing button on the main amplifier. The system will announce "Broadcast On". Next, double-tap the pairing buttons on secondary chairs or consoles in the same room. They will sync wirelessly with zero floor cables and zero latency.
Furniture Fair strongly advises plugging the master transformer directly into a grounded 110V wall outlet or a premium heavy-duty surge protector rated for at least 1,000 joules.
Avoid lightweight household extension cords or multi-plug cubes. Thin gauge extension cords can lead to electrical resistance and voltage drops, which can trigger thermal protection cutoffs in the reclining motors during simultaneous operation.
Rest easy knowing your investment is supported locally by Furniture Fair's service specialists and backed by Moto Motion's U.S. parts distribution center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Unlike furniture importers that require months to order replacement components from overseas, Moto Motion operates a dedicated central parts warehouse in Tupelo, Mississippi. Replacement power transformers, power cords, remotes, switches, and audio connection cables are stocked stateside for fast resolution.
Our Midwest customer care specialists are trained directly on Moto Motion electronics and mechanical mechanisms. If troubleshooting steps do not resolve your issue, our team can look up your order details, coordinate warranty service, or send replacement cords directly to your doorstep.
When contacting Customer Care for replacement transformers, remote switches, or mechanism parts, please have your Furniture Fair sales order number and the unit serial number ready. The serial number is printed on the white factory barcode label affixed directly to the lower metal scissor recline frame.
