Herringbone Bed

Both rustic and modern are adjectives that were used as we created these pieces. Clean lined cases with beveled, box mitered picture frame details are veneered with a herringbone pattern surrounding each bank of drawers to create subtle detail. Plinth bases are recessed to create a floating effect, rounding out the contemporary lines. This group is veneered with extra thick cut, cathedral white oak with flake for a natural organic vibe. The finish employs significant hand ageing including wirebrushing, rocking, rasp and gouging to create the desired rustic effect.
